August 2010 new art-o-mat boxes

Well, it's time to start a new batch of art-o-mats. This time around I purchased the brown ready-made boxes and I made stamps, so that with each box a new blue box falls from the white grid and the black filled in square on the white grid tells you what number box you have. The lenticulars are miniatures of my larger lenticulars, 60lpi, and are almost all 3-D. They are mounted on thick black foam core with a little hook on the back for hanging. More pics will follow as I get them finished. Let me know when if get one.

video 3rd batch

Here is a short video of the lenticulars I am making for this new batch. Sorry--It's a bit dark so lighten it up in your viewer.

another pic of 3rd batch (see below)

third batch for art-o-mat

I am sending off a third batch of art-o-mat boxes. The outside, like this pic above, is made with recycled boxes (cereal, tissue, supplies, etc.) and screen sprayed with metallic paints. I wanted to stay w/ the recycled boxes but continue to make abstract the color, forms, and shapes. The spray dots helped to make that happen.

I received another art-o-mat green card, so I am finally posting the last batch of boxes I had sent them (completed last August.) See in the following entries.
Comments are welcome!

I believe both of these boxes contain the lenticular pictured below. This lenticular flips and the gardenia was from my mother's garden. The boxes have some collage work--painted gold on the raisin box, for example.
